About the company

Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG builds sports cars and runs related financial services. Its group report separates the Automotive business from Financial Services, which is a more useful operating map than a list of car models directly beneath the CEO.

Michael Leiters became chair of the Porsche AG Executive Board on 1 January 2026. This is a different company and role from Porsche SE, the investment holding company, and from Volkswagen AG, which includes Porsche AG in its Sport Luxury brand grouping.

Automotive operations and financial services

Automotive comprises the Porsche vehicle business, including sports-car and SUV model families such as the 911, Taycan, Macan and Cayenne. These are product families, not separately reported group segments.

Financial Services includes financing and leasing products provided by Porsche financial-services companies or local partners, depending on the market. Its separate performance matters when interpreting group revenue.

Porsche AG's Executive Board has seven members responsible for the chairmanship, procurement, research and development, finance and IT, people, production and logistics, and sales and marketing. Christian Friedl took the production and logistics board area in September 2026.

Porsche AG has both unlisted ordinary shares and listed non-voting preference shares. Volkswagen AG and Porsche SE hold ordinary interests. The operating tree does not express voting percentages or imply that Porsche SE owns the whole carmaker.

Key leadership roles

How this structure supports the business

Separating Automotive from Financial Services follows the financial report's economic distinction while leaving the car models at a lower, clearly marked product layer.

A separate ownership explanation keeps Volkswagen's operating group, Porsche SE's investment position and Porsche AG's own management from collapsing into one misleading chain.

Advantages and disadvantages

Distinguishes operating activities from share ownership and product families.
The model-family examples omit factories, regions, board portfolios and many subsidiaries.
