What the customer specification review process is

A specification captured by sales during a customer conversation and a specification an engineer could actually design or cost against are not automatically the same thing — dimensions might be approximate, a material choice might not exist in the required finish, a quantity might be ambiguous. This template is the gate between the two: a technical review that catches the gap before design or quotation work starts on a specification that isn't actually complete.

The site-constraint check this template includes exists because furniture, especially larger or built-in pieces, has to fit a physical space that a customer's stated dimensions don't always account for accurately — doorway widths, stairwells, ceiling height for a tall piece. Missing this check means a design proceeds on a footprint that the actual installation location can't accommodate.
