How it works
Confirm the lanes match your factory
Sales, Production planning, Procurement, Production, Quality control and Warehouse is a starting point. If cutting and CNC machining are run by a different team than assembly and finishing in your plant, split Production into two lanes rather than forcing both under one owner.
Put a real number on the materials decision
"Materials available in stock?" is only useful if it is checked against your actual MRP output and reorder points, not against a gut feeling on the shop floor. Note the safety-stock policy for your highest-lead-time materials — usually hardware and imported timber — on the node itself.
Name your fabrication sequence exactly
Cut, CNC, drill/rout, sand is the sequence for panel and solid-wood furniture. If your process runs machining before cutting, or skips CNC entirely for hand-built pieces, reorder the steps rather than keeping a sequence nobody follows.
Decide what 'passes quality inspection' actually checks
Dimensional accuracy against the cut list, joint fit and squareness, and finish coverage and color match are the three checks this template assumes. Write the specific tolerance or standard for each on the decision node so two inspectors reach the same call.
Close the rework loop with a retest, not a re-release
The rework branch should return to the same inspection gate, not skip straight to packaging. A piece that was reworked and never re-inspected is exactly how a defect reaches a customer.
