About the company
PepsiCo combines a convenient foods portfolio with a global beverage system. Familiar brands such as Lay's, Doritos, Quaker, Gatorade and Pepsi-Cola help explain the products, but they are not the six reportable segments used to assess company results.
The 2025 Form 10-K supplies a newer and more precise structure than older charts built around Frito-Lay North America and Quaker Foods North America as separate top-level segments. PepsiCo Foods North America now combines the North American convenient food businesses. Its international franchise beverage business is also separated from the regional segments that contain company-owned bottling activity.
Six reportable segments after the 2025 reorganization
PepsiCo Foods North America covers convenient foods in the United States and Canada. PepsiCo Beverages North America covers beverages in those markets. These are financial reporting segments even though PepsiCo also has a North America CEO and shared commercial capabilities.
International Beverages Franchise contains international franchise beverage operations and SodaStream. EMEA contains convenient foods plus beverage businesses with company-owned bottlers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Latin America Foods covers convenient foods in that region; Asia Pacific Foods covers food businesses across Asia Pacific.
This segmentation blends product and geography. A brand can be sold in several regions, while a bottling partner can operate within a franchise system without being a PepsiCo-owned subsidiary. The dotted branches in the diagram indicate the filing's segment categories, not each brand's legal owner or a personal management line.

How this structure supports the business
The six segments separate North American food and drinks while giving international operations room for different franchise and owned bottling models.
Showing brands as examples below the relevant business, with qualified dotted lines, helps users connect the portfolio to the reporting structure without implying that every brand is a subsidiary.
Advantages and disadvantages
- The new segments match current financial disclosures.
- A mixed product and geographic model is harder to summarize as one simple tree.
- The franchise branch clarifies how international beverages differ from owned bottling operations.
- Partners, brands and legal entities still need separate maps for complete ownership detail.
